The Nike Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association was officially created following approval by the National Executive Council (NEC) at its quarterly meeting held on 20 November 2025 in Benin, Edo State. The formal notice was issued on 24 November 2025 by the NBA General Secretary, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara.
The Branch was carved out of the Enugu Branch and encompasses the Nike Judicial Division in Enugu State. Its creation was supported by the applications of not fewer than fifty (50) financially up-to-date members of the Nigerian Bar Association, fulfilling the constitutional requirements for the establishment of a new Branch.
With the appointment of a Caretaker Committee by the NBA President, the Nike Branch is set to chart a bold course in legal service delivery, professional development, and advocacy within its jurisdiction — building a legacy of excellence befitting the noble profession of law.
Appointed by the NBA President following NEC approval, this Committee oversees the Branch's affairs pending elections for substantive Branch officers.
The Caretaker Committee is vested with a comprehensive mandate to establish, govern, and grow the Nike Branch in accordance with the NBA Constitution and NEC directives.

Members who wish to contest any elective office should note that the Notice of Election will be published no later than 31 March 2026. Aspiring candidates should prepare accordingly and ensure their subscriptions are fully up to date.
